We hope that everyone staying in Stromness and all our visitors enjoyed the 66th Stromness Shopping Week!

As usual there were a wide range of street entertainments during Shopping Week that thrilled and excited and engaged both children and adults alike.

The award winning Stromness Royal British Legion Pipe Band  played selections of music throughout the week in various locations.

The Shopping Week's Resident Band played at various times throughout the week at the pierhead and in local pubs at night and of course at the open air dance on Saturday night where they played from 7pm until Shopping Week came to an end at 11pm.

Following its continuing success in Shopping Week the popular Shopping Week Hack  took place on Sunday 20th July at 12:30.

As usual we had all the old favourites such as the Yard of Ale, the Beer Race, Holms Swim, and the Shopping Week 10k Race.

There was also a full programme for the children of sports, round the town race, workshops, with many activities that they took part in.

The Community Centre was open for visitors who hopefully enjoyed the Flower Club and WRI displays.

Do take time to visit the photo gallery and view the highlights of 2013 Stromness Shopping Week depicted through the many photographs taken during the event. The Shopping Week Committee thank you for your continuing support of Shopping Week and for visiting this webpage.
